Samsung unveiled One UI 5.1 with the Galaxy S23 series during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event. However, ahead of the Galaxy S23's shipping dates, Samsung released the One UI 5.1 update to older high-end smartphones, including the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 4. Now, the update is rolling out to the Galaxy S22's Snapdragon version.
The One UI 5.1 update for the Snapdragon versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xEXXU3CWAI. The update is currently rolling out in Australia, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Other countries could get the update within the next few days. The new firmware also brings the February 2023 security patch to the smartphone.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series user with a Snapdragon version, you can download the One UI 5.1 update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
What's new with One UI 5.1 update on Galaxy S22?
The One UI 5.1 update brings various improvements. The camera app can now easily switch to natural hues for selfies. It also brings easier access to the Expert RAW app on compatible phones. The Gallery app has Family Sharing Album, improved reflection and shadows remover, EXIF information editing, a more powerful search, and the option to set a custom folder to save screenshots.
AR Emoji can now be used on images with three people in an image. There are layout and editing improvements to AR Doodles. One UI 5.1 also brings a new battery widget, more conditions and actions in Modes & Routines, collaboration note taking for Samsung Notes, improvements to Samsung DeX, Bixby Text Call, and more.
