We had exclusively reported that the Galaxy S22 series will launch in February 2022. However, its specifications and hands-on images were leaked a few days ago. Now, the clearest picture of the smartphone has been leaked, revealing that it is the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Prolific leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has published the press render of the Galaxy S22 Ultra in its Bronze avatar. The smartphone looks extremely similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (except for the rear camera setup). The image also showcases the S Pen, which is mostly covered in black, but its top button matches the smartphone's color. The device has a built-in slot to store the S Pen.
The phone has sharper corners compared to previous-generation Galaxy S series smartphones. Moreover, the phone's screen is slightly curved towards the sides. For the 40MP selfie camera, there appears to be a punch-hole-shaped cutout. There are four cameras on the rear: Samsung's third-generation 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, two 10MP telephoto cameras (3x and 10x zoom).
Depending on the region, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variants. It could have 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB internal storage, stereo speakers, IP68 rating, ultrasonic fingerprint reader, UWB, and 5G connectivity. The smartphone is rumored to feature a 5,000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and wireless charging.
