Galaxy S23 gets December 2023 security update in India

Last week, Samsung started the process of rolling out the December 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 series. The update was first released to locked and unlocked units in the US and then in Europe. Now, the company has released the security update to the Galaxy S23 series in India.

Galaxy S23 gets December 2023 security update in India

The December 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware version S91xBXXS3BWKC. The update is available in India and brings fixes for around 75 security flaws discovered in the previous software version. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.

If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone in India, you can now check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. Alternatively, you can find the new firmware files from our firmware database, download them, and then flash them manually on your phone. However, you would need to have a computer running the Windows operating system and have access to the Odin tool.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra December 2023 Security Update India

Samsung released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy S23 first. Since that major update, Samsung has released two new security updates to its current-generation flagship smartphone series. The phone debuted with Android 14, and it comes with a promise of four major Android OS updates, of which it has received one.
