Earlier today, Samsung released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy S21 series. Now, the new software update is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 FE. This update brings security improvements with the latest patches to fix known vulnerabilities. It is a bit surprising to see the update arrive on Galaxy S23 FE earlier than the rest of the Galaxy S23 series.
Galaxy S23 FE gets February 2024 security update in Asian and European countries
The new software update for the Galaxy S23 FE is now available in some parts of Asia and Europe. It comes with firmware version S711BXXS2BXA8 and is rolling out in the Caucasus countries, Europe, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. More countries could get access to this software update for the Galaxy S23 FE in the coming weeks. It includes the February 2024 security patch that fixes 72 security flaws found in the previous version of the software. No new features or performance improvements are included in the new update, and you can expect new features to arrive with the One UI 6.1 update.
If you are a Galaxy S23 FE owner and live in any of the countries or regions mentioned above, you can check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your smartphone. Alternatively, you can try the manual firmware flashing process, but you need to be well-versed with it and download the firmware file from our database that's appropriate for your smartphone.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 FE a few months ago in Asia and earlier this year in Europe. The device came with Android 13 pre-installed in some countries and Android 14 in others. It will get the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update, which will bring new features in the next few months.
