Samsung has released the latest security update for the Galaxy S23 FE. US customers who own a Galaxy S23 FE get first dibs on the update. The update debuted on AT&T's network, but it should come to other carriers and unlocked units soon.
US Galaxy S23 FE users get first dibs on June 2024 security update
The latest Galaxy S23 FE update sports the build number S711USQS4CXE3. It only brings the June 2024 security patch to the phone, at least in the USA. In Europe, Samsung released a new update for the S23 FE that is bundled with last month's security patch but has some non-security related changes.
Samsung hasn't explained what those changes are, and whether they will come to the Galaxy S23 FE and other phones outside Europe. Users are hoping for respite from issues such as higher battery drain that One UI 6.1 introduced on various Galaxy devices, but it's unclear if the update that rolled out in Europe fixes those issues.
In any case, if you own a Galaxy S23 FE and live in the US, you can download the latest security update by opening the phone's Settings app, navigating to the Software update menu, and selecting Download and install. You can also download Galaxy S23 FE firmware from our website and install it on the phone using a Windows PC and a USB cable.
Galaxy S23 owners outside the US and Europe can expect the June update to arrive on their phones in the next couple of days.
