Over the past few months, it has been revealed that Samsung has been working on the Galaxy S23 FE, and we exclusively revealed that the phone could launch in Q4 2023. However, a new rumor claims that the Galaxy S23 FE could be launched in July or August 2023. So, is it true?
A rumor from Revegnus claims that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S23 FE much earlier than anticipated due to sluggish sales of Galaxy S23 series devices in the second quarter of this year. He also claims that the Galaxy S23 FE could launch earlier than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which are expected to be unveiled in July 2023.
Galaxy S23 FE isn't launching in July or August 2023
We can confirm that the Galaxy S23 FE isn't launching anytime soon. There have been no usual signs pointing toward its impending launch, so there could be a few possibilities. Samsung may have moved the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE from Q4 2023 to Q1 2024. It is also possible that the smartphone may have been canceled or renamed by the company due to current market conditions.
The Galaxy S23 FE is expected to bring upgraded cameras and performance. Samsung has used 12MP sensors in Fan Edition phones for years, and with the Galaxy S23 FE, it could upgrade to a 50MP primary camera. That would bring it closer to the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+, which also use 50MP sensors.
The upcoming smartphone might not feature the same processor as other Galaxy S23, though. Instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chipset, the Galaxy S23 FE could use the 4nm Exynos 2200 processor with an AMD GPU used in the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
