Last week, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy S23 series that offered the March 2025 security patch. However, the brand made it available only for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and left out their distant cousin, the Galaxy S23 FE. Well, now, the most affordable device in the lineup is also getting it.
Samsung has released an update to the Galaxy S23 FE that offers the March 2025 security patch. It is available for the international variant of the smartphone, which carries model number SM-S711B. The new update carries firmware version S711BXXS6DYBH. You can get it by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Going by Samsung’s software update rollout history, the South Korean tech giant should offer it to other variants of the Galaxy S23 FE in the next few days. Speaking of updates, Samsung will release Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to eligible Galaxy phones and tablets on 7 April 2025. The Galaxy S23 FE is also eligible to get it.
However, the Galaxy S23 FE isn’t in the initial rollout phase, which means that it may get the new software at a later date. Although Samsung has made people wait quite a lot for this update, the brand suggests that it may offer the next one, Android 16-based One UI 8.0, on time or even earlier than usual. Only time will tell if that turns out to be true.
