The Galaxy S23's Fan Edition is receiving the One UI 6.1.1 update in India today, following a wider release of the update for the original Galaxy S23 trio. The update is also available for the Galaxy S23 FE in other countries, including those in Europe.
Samsung's Fan Edition smartphones are pretty popular in India, and Galaxy S23 FE owners in the country can now start taking advantage of everything One UI 6.1.1 has to offer. It is likely getting all the same features as the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra except for those related to Instant Slow-mo, which isn't available on the Galaxy S23 FE owing to its older Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets.
You can identify the One UI 6.1.1 update by the build number S711BXXU4DXH7. It comes bundled with the August 2024 security patch, and you can download it from your phone's Settings » Software update menu. You can also find the latest Galaxy S23 FE firmware on SamMobile.
Once you have installed the update on your phone, watch all the new Galaxy AI features in action in the video below. To discover everything that's new, check out the full One UI 6.1.1 changelog.
If you own a Galaxy S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra, you can think of this as more confirmation that One UI 6.1.1 will be released for your device, as the Galaxy S23 FE uses the same Exynos and Snapdragon chips as the Galaxy S22 series. It will probably take at least a week before the Galaxy S22 series and other flagships launched in the same year get One UI 6.1.1, and we'll let you know once that happens, so stay tuned!
