Last week, Samsung started rolling out the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 series. However, the update was limited to Europe and the US. Now, the update is rolling out more widely, and it has now reached the Indian market.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware version S91xBXXS3AWF9. The update is available in India and could expand to more Asian countries within the next few days. It is a 431.28MB update and only brings fixes for security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements. However, some users claim that they've noticed improvements in animation smoothness.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and you live in India, you can now install the new software update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows computer and the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 onboard. The phone is expected to get the One UI 6.0 Beta update before the end of this month. The stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update could be released sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
