Last week, Samsung started rolling out the March 2023 security patch to the Galaxy S23 series smartphones. First, the company made the update available for the carrier-locked variants of the phone for the US, and then, it released the new firmware for carrier-unlocked versions of those devices for the region.
Now, Samsung has started rolling out the March 2024 security patch to international variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra in India. It fixes a bunch of security issues. The build number of the firmware carrying the latest security update is S91XBXXS3BXBD. Expect the company to release the update in other regions soon.
If your Galaxy S23 series smartphone hasn’t shown a pop-up about the new software update, you can check for it manually by going to Settings > Software updates and clicking on the Download and install button. You can also download the new firmware from our database and install it manually using Odin.
According to multiple sources, Samsung will release another software update to the Galaxy S23 series smartphones this month. It will bring One UI 6.1, which will offer many new features, including the AI-powered features that you see on the Galaxy S24 series phones. The upcoming update will also be based on the March 2024 security patch.
