The recent improvements to the Galaxy S23 camera experience appear to be a part of the same release. As you might know, the Galax yS23 recently gained the capability of recording 8K 30fps and QHD 60fps (Super Steady) videos. In addition, the Galaxy S23 series gained a new 2x zoom option via Camera Assistant. But there's more.
A Samsung Community moderator confirmed many more changes that are a part of the latest Camera and Gallery updates released in August. For example, the Galaxy S23 gained the same AI deep learning technology for improving digital zoom picture quality as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. We talked about this new impressive AI tech for Samsung's latest foldable phones in greater detail at the beginning of the month.
And there's more. Some Portrait Video Mode effects (Big Circle, Color Point, and Glitch) now support 30 frames per second instead of being limited to 24fps.

Even more Camera and Gallery features
Samsung says the August updates for the Galaxy S23 optimize camera performance for Super Steady and more to improve various shooting experiences, and the selfie camera has had some tweaks for better natural face shape corrections.
Furthermore, when photographing moving objects, Galaxy S23 users should get photos with improved motion blur. Likewise, the development team adjusted the focus to reduce peripheral image blur when shooting close-up subjects with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, in particular.
Last but not least, Samsung improved 50MP and 200MP image quality with better blur, lighting, and optimized shadow noise. If you want to take advantage of these latest improvements, make sure you're running the latest Camera and Gallery updates from the Galaxy Store.
