After the disappointing Galaxy S22 series, Samsung came back with a bang. The Galaxy S23 has been widely regarded as a success and received extremely positive reviews. That success has also translated into better sales compared to the Galaxy S22 series, and by a significant margin, at least according to a new report.
Galaxy S23 sales eclipse Galaxy S22 sales by a huge margin
According to the data from Hana Securities, a financial consulting firm, the cumulative sales of the Galaxy S23 series over the past eight months have reached almost 23 million units (22.89 million to be exact). If that figure is broken down for the three models in the lineup, the Galaxy S23 sales stood at 8.09 million units, while 4.11 million units of the Galaxy S23+ were sold. The sales of the costliest model in the series, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, reached 10.69 million units. Cumulatively, the sales of the Galaxy S23 series surpassed sales of the Galaxy S22 series by 22% during the eight-month period.

Samsung wanted to improve the sales of its foldable devices with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, it doesn't look like the plan is progressing all too well. According to the new report, the sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 have reached 3.51 million units (2.26 million for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and 1.25 million for the Galaxy Z Fold 5). That's a slight decrease compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 (2.28 million) and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (1.35 million), which had a cumulative sales figure of 3.63 million units. While the sales of samsung's latest foldable phones accelerated during the launch compared to their predecessors, there appears to be a stall over after that.
Galaxy A series smartphones seem to be selling well in the India and Middle Eastern region. Those mid-range devices sold more than Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series smartphones.
