A few days ago, Samsung released the September 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 series in the US. Both carrier-locked and factory-unlocked versions of the phones received the new security update in the country. Now, Samsung has released the September 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 in Europe.

Galaxy S23 September 2023 security update: What's new?

The latest software update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes bearing firmware version S91xBXXS3AWHR in European countries. It has a download size of around 320MB, and it brings the September 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in the previous software version. It does not bring any new features or performance and reliability enhancements. Just last month, these phones received a major software update with several camera improvements and some new camera features.

If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and if you live in Europe, you can check for the new update now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. Alternatively, you can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin firmware flashing tool.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year with Android 13 onboard. The phones have already received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update in some countries for registered devices. Before the end of this year, Samsung will release the stable Android 14 update to these phones.
