Galaxy S23 gets updated with September 2024 security patch after One UI 6.1.1
A new software update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra is now available in the USA. The update for the carrier-locked units comes with firmware version S91xUSQS4CXHC, while the update for factory-unlocked models comes bearing firmware version S91xU1UES4CXHC.
This update brings the September 2024 security patch, which fixes 67 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software version. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements, so if you were hoping for something new, you would be disappointed.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone in the USA, you can check for the new update on your device by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
