The Galaxy S23 series comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor. This is a custom chipset from Qualcomm that's made specifically for Samsung smartphones and is faster than the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This processor has broken all records to become the fastest Android smartphone.
Golden Reviewer has published an image on Twitter that shows the Galaxy S23 Ultra scoring a whopping 1,600 points in Geekbench 5's single-core CPU performance test. In the multi-core CPU performance test, the smartphone scored 5,311 points, which is among the highest we've seen on any Android smartphone. It means the Galaxy S23 Ultra is extremely fast, allowing you to perform tasks in a jiffy.
In comparison, the next fastest Android smartphone, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro, scored 1,486 points in the single-core CPU test and 5,211 points in the multi-core CPU test. The gaming smartphone is slower than the Galaxy S23 Ultra despite featuring a much beefier cooling solution for the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
The Galaxy S23 series features a large vapor chamber inside for an efficient heat dissipation mechanism. Plus, its higher-clocked CPU cores perform admirably and don't throttle nearly as much compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. A faster chip, a beefier cooling mechanism, and optimized software result in an excellent performance.
