Galaxy S23 Ultra gets another limited-time free storage upgrade

Samsung brought back its free storage upgrade deals as a bonus for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 pre-order customers. The pre-order window is about to close in less than 24 hours from this writing, but even if you miss it, you may one day get another chance at a free storage upgrade upon purchasing the latest foldable phones.

A case in point is that Samsung has launched another free storage deal for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the latter of which is six a month old phone. From now until August 21, you can buy the Galaxy S23 Ultra with 512GB of storage at the price of 256GB. In the process, you're saving $180.

Story continues after the video

Should you buy a Galaxy S23 Ultra at this time?

A free storage upgrade is always a good deal, but should you buy a Galaxy S23 Ultra now that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are available for pre-order (and will go on sale tomorrow)? Well, you definitely could.

Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are impressive in their own rights, the Galaxy S23 Ultra remains the most powerful Samsung phone that doesn't fold. And that's how it will stay until the Galaxy S24 series gets announced, likely in early 2024.

With that in mind, the right question is not whether the Galaxy S23 Ultra is still worth buying after Galaxy Unpacked but whether you prefer a foldable or a slab-type phone. And if the answer is the latter, then it just doesn't get any better than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
