Samsung claims its new set of flagship phones offers better camera quality in varied situations. The Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ use the same camera hardware as their predecessors, but they can reportedly provide better image quality due to an improved processor. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the only new phone with better camera hardware.
Android smartphones are infamous for offering worse camera quality when you use the camera through social media apps like Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and WhatsApp. Samsung tried to address the issue by bringing support for night mode and ultrawide camera support on Instagram and Snapchat, and it is going a step further with the Galaxy S24 series this year.
Galaxy S24 brings improved camera quality to social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat
The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra bring improved image and video quality thanks to AI and improved ISP inside their faster processors. These phones can capture Super HDR images and videos, play them back in the Gallery app, and even upload them on social media apps like Instagram.
Samsung has also worked with social media apps to improve the camera quality inside those apps. The Galaxy S24 supports advanced features like HDR, Nightography (Night Mode), and improved stabilization (EIS) within social media apps. This means the camera quality inside social media apps will be as good as when using the stock Camera app.
All three phones feature Dual Recording and improved Single Take modes. Dual Recording is an upgraded version of Director's View, allowing you to capture 4K 30fps videos from any two cameras on the phone. The upgraded Single Take mode can capture images and videos using front and rear cameras. All three phones can also record slow-motion videos in 4K resolution and 120fps frame rate.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra can also switch between all its cameras while recording 4K 60fps videos. It can also record 4K 120fps in Pro Video mode and 8K 30fps videos using its primary and 50MP telephoto cameras.
