Samsung released major camera improvements with the February 2024 security update. However, not all camera issues have been fixed, and the company is reportedly planning to fix those issues with another software update soon.
Major camera improvements coming to Galaxy S24 with April 2024 update
According to a report from tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will release a major software update to the Galaxy S24 series in April 2024 to fix some of the major remaining camera issues. The company will reportedly fix issues related to white balance and image quality from the telephoto camera sensor.
Right now, the image quality of shots taken with up to 9.9x zoom is better than that of shots captured at 10x zoom. That issue could be fixed with the April 2024 update. Sometimes, the exposure could be high in images captured using the Galaxy S24's camera, blowing out highlights. Samsung could fix that issue as well. The white balance of images captured using the Galaxy S24 could appear too warm, which will also be fixed, according to the report.
Another issue with the Galaxy S24's camera is that it can sometimes capture darker images, and Samsung has already said it will fix that issue in the future. We hope the fix for that issue also arrives with the April 2024 update.
