In March, Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, giving the users early access to its latest Android customizations and a host of upgrades. Now, almost a month and a half later, the brand has ended the beta program and released the stable version of the new software.
Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in its home country, South Korea. The download size for this update is over 4GB and it comes bearing firmware version S92xNKSU5DZOP. While the company hasn’t said when it plans to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy S24 series in other countries, it could do so later this week.
If you want to get the update as soon as Samsung releases it in your region, you can keep checking for its availability by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install every now and then. However, an easier way is to follow our channel on Telegram or WhatsApp, where we’ll notify you the moment Samsung starts rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S24 series in more markets.
Along with all the upgrades that Android 16 QPR2 brings, One UI 8.5 introduces a refreshed user interface. While design preferences are subjective, we think the new UI looks cleaner and more modern.
Samsung has also made the software more customizable, giving users greater control over the overall experience. In addition, many of the system apps now feature redesigned interfaces to go with the new visual style of the software.
