Samsung unveiled three new phones—Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra—today at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. All these high-end phones bring several improvements compared to their predecessors. They have brighter screens, faster processors, dozens of new features, better camera quality, and slightly longer battery life.

All these improvements are supported by the newer processors: Exynos 2400 (Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+) and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Galaxy S24 Ultra). Samsung claims that its new phones can maintain peak performance for longer periods.

Galaxy S24 series phones have bigger vapor chamber heat dissipation systems

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra have bigger vapor chamber heat dissipation systems than their predecessors. The Galaxy S23 series devices introduced decently big vapor chamber cooling systems for their processors, and the Galaxy S24 series improved upon it even further.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S24 has a 1.5x bigger vapor chamber than the Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S24+ has a 1.6x bigger vapor chamber system than the Galaxy S23+. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has a vapor chamber cooling system that's almost twice (1.,9x) as big as the Galaxy S23 Ultra. That's a massive upgrade over the Galaxy S23 series.

Thanks to bigger vapor chamber systems, the Galaxy S24 series can sustain the peak performance of the processor for a longer period. This means you won't see hiccups, stutters, frame drops, or overheating when you push the phone through tough workloads for longer. Even while playing multiple back-to-back sessions of heavy games, the Galaxy S24 shouldn't face a significant performance drop or overheating.

The Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ use the Exynos 2400 processor. It has a 10-core CPU with 70% faster performance and 40% faster GPU than the Galaxy S22's Exynos 2200, and it is made using Samsung Foundry's improved 4nm process. In the US, though, the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy chipset, which is made using TSMC's improved 4nm (N4P) fabrication process. The Galaxy S24 Ultra exclusively uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor across the world.

The Galaxy S24 has 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The Galaxy S24+ has 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. The 1TB storage variant is available exclusively through Samsung's own website.
