Samsung will launch its new flagship smartphones within a month from now. Most of the important specifications of the company's upcoming phones have leaked over the past few months. Now, some more details are being revealed about the Galaxy S24 series, including its tougher design.
Galaxy S24 Ultra to feature 56% stronger frame and Gorilla Glass Armor
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly feature a much tougher design, thanks to its titanium frame and a newer version of Gorilla Glass. According to tipster Ahmed Qwaider, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a titanium frame that makes the phone's body 56% stronger than Armor Aluminum, which was used in the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The base Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ will likely not get this feature.
Samsung's upcoming flagship phone will also feature Gorilla Glass Armor for screen protection. This is newer than Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen on the Galaxy S24 Ultra reportedly features a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The phone will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in most countries worldwide. Samsung is also said to be using a bigger vapor chamber cooling system that keeps the chip 1.9x cooler than its predecessor.
Galaxy S24 Ultra camera specifications
The Galaxy S24 Ultra reportedly features a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom (10x optical quality zoom with in-sensor crop), and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phone also has a 12MP front-facing camera, just like its predecessor. It also features LPDDR5X RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and 25W fast wired charging. It will likely also be compatible with 45W fast charging.
