Galaxy S25 gets bug fixes and enhancements with February 2025 update
Earlier this week, Samsung released the first software update to the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea. Now, that update has also been released in the USA. Currently, the update is limited to the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The update, bearing firmware version S93xUSQU1AYB3, has a download size of around 500MB. It brings bug fixes and performance enhancements. It also includes the February 2025 security patch, which fixes several security shortcomings discovered in the previous software.
Detailed firmware versions of each model are listed below.
- Galaxy S25: S938USQU1AYB3
- Galaxy S25+: S938USQU1AYB3
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: S938USQU1AYB3
While Samsung hasn't revealed which bugs it has fixed, some users hope the new software solves banding issues found in some images captured using the phone's software. This banding issue was limited to specific scenarios where the sky was visible.

Samsung will likely release the new update to the factory-unlocked Galaxy S25 units in the US. It could also release the update in other parts of the world, including Africa, Asia, Australia (and nearby countries), Europe, and Latin America.
How to install the new update on Galaxy S25?
If you have a Galaxy S25 series phone and live in the USA, you can check for the new update and install it by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool.
