Samsung seems to be planning to offer the feature to all three devices in the lineup.

Samsung's latest flagship non-foldable smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, introduced several new features over the Galaxy S25 lineup. The brand brought some of those upgrades to the Galaxy S25 with the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) update, but not all of them.
One notable omission was Horizontal Lock, a feature that keeps videos level even if you tilt or rotate the phone while recording. Now, it appears that the company is preparing to bring Horizontal Lock to the Galaxy S25 series with the next major software update, One UI 9.0 (Android 17).
A popular tipster, Fahad Ali Javed, managed to get their hands on a One UI 9.0 build for the Galaxy S25+ carrying firmware version S936BXXUBDZG4. While exploring the new software, they discovered support for Horizontal Lock (via @Alfaturk16).
Samsung typically brings features introduced on newer Galaxy devices to older models through the next major update for them. Since Horizontal Lock wasn't included in the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series, many assumed the brand had decided not to bring the feature to its 2025 lineup of flagship non-foldable phones. However, the latest One UI 9.0 build suggests the company may have changed its plans.

It's also encouraging to see that the tech giant isn't keeping Horizontal Lock exclusive to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, despite it having more advanced camera hardware than the other two devices in the series. Since the feature has surfaced on the Galaxy S25+, there's a good chance that it will also make its way to the standard Galaxy S25, as both phones feature the same rear camera setup.
