Over the past five years, the South Korean firm has released three Galaxy S phones every year. Several reports have indicated that Samsung might add a fourth phone to its high-end smartphone lineup: Galaxy S25 Slim. However, it might not launch alongside the other Galaxy S25 variants.
Galaxy S25 Slim could launch in Q2 2025
The Galaxy S25 Slim, featuring the model number SM-S937x, was spotted multiple times. It slots between the Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936x) and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938x).
The code of the latest beta version of One UI 7.0 mentions the US variants of the Galaxy S25 (SM-S931U), Galaxy S25+ (SM-S926U), and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938U), but doesn't mention the Galaxy S25 Slim.
So, it can be speculated that Samsung might not be ready to launch the Galaxy S25 Slim yet. Some rumors claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, but that doesn't appear to be happening.
Other reports point towards a Q2 2025 launch window for the Galaxy S25 Slim, which sounds more reasonable. The Galaxy S25 Slim could be the Galaxy S25+ we all deserve, especially after looking at its rumored specifications.
Rumored Galaxy S25 Slim specifications
According to a previous report, the Galaxy S25 Slim features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
It is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, and a minimum of 4,700mAh battery. The phone is said to be less than 7mm thin.
The upcoming phone will reportedly feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. It features the same 12MP selfie camera seen on Galaxy S24 (and likely Galaxy S25) smartphones.
