We have been having leaks and rumors about the Galaxy S25 lineup form even before Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series. However, none of them came from an official source or an established authority. In other words, we didn’t have a single proof of the existence of those devices. Well, that’s changing today. Now, we have a leak that not only confirms the existence of one of the devices in the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Ultra but also reveals its connectivity options and charging speed.
China’s Quality Certification Centre has certified a device from Samsung with the model number SM-S9380. Now, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s model number is SM-S9280. So, the SM-S9380, which is the next number in the series, is most likely the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
According to the certification, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a ‘Satellite Mobile Terminal.’ This term most likely means that the phone has satellite connectivity, just like that on iPhones, allowing you to connect with emergency services even from areas where there is no cellular network, which makes this the first Samsung smartphone with satellite connectivity. That’s not all.
Galaxy S25 Ultra has different charging specifications
The listing also reveals that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have 45W charging, the same as the three previous generations of the smartphone. However, there’s a catch. While the previous phones offered 45W charging with 11Vx4.05A specification, the new one offers it over 15Vx3A specification. For now, we can’t say what benefits will this change offer in real life.

With the next Galaxy Unpacked event only five months away, the frequency of leaks about the Galaxy S25 lineup is increasing day by day. Yesterday, we got our first look at the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Another leak suggested that apart from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Samsung will also use the Exynos 2500 SoC for the upcoming lineup. However, we don’t think that’s the case.
