It was widely rumored that Samsung would bring significant changes to the Galaxy S25, both internally and externally. It has already been revealed that major camera upgrades are coming to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Now, some tidbits about the phone's external design have been revealed, and it is good news for those who didn't like the Galaxy S24 Ultra's sharp corners.
Galaxy S25 Ultra could have curved corners like the Galaxy Note 7
Yesterday, we reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would move away from the sharp corners of its predecessors. Tipster Ice Universe has revealed that the upcoming flagship phone will have rounded corners like the Galaxy Note 7. If this information is accurate, it is a welcome change, as the Galaxy S24 Ultra is not particularly comfortable to hold for a long time. Curved corners would result in a more comfortable design.
You can watch the design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra in our video below.
Hopefully, Samsung will continue to craft the Galaxy S25 Ultra's design from titanium, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Curved corners could lead to less space for the battery and the S Pen, but maybe Samsung would have thought about how to make room for those components already. We also hope the company will continue to use a flat screen for its upcoming Ultra phone.
Samsung is slowly moving to a new design language for its mobile products
The designs of Samsung's upcoming products, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra, have recently leaked. Some of those products bring a fresh new design. For example, the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have stems, a new design trait for Samsung's wireless earbuds.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra also has a new design. While some people claim it is inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra, we think it is inspired by Samsung's Gear Sport smartwatch, which was launched in 2017. All these upcoming devices are reportedly designed by ex-Mercedes Benz designer Hubert Lee.
