Many users of Samsung's latest flagship non-foldable phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, have started reporting that the center portion of the phone's display is developing a permanent red tint.

According to Newsway, Samsung has launched an investigation into the issue. A company official said, “We are currently examining the matter internally to confirm the cause.”

Some users suspect the problem is related to the Privacy Display feature, believing it may be causing pixels to burn in (the red tint could be due to pixels burning in). However, the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed whether the feature is responsible.

If Privacy Display is ultimately found to be the cause, Samsung may take a more cautious approach to bringing the feature to future smartphones. In the meantime, we hope the company offers free display or device replacements for affected customers.
