After Galaxy Tab S and the Galaxy Tab Active-series tablets, Samsung has now started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy Tab A-series devices, and the Galaxy Tab A9 is the first model in the lineup to get the latest software.
On Samsung’s Community forum for Europe, a user has confirmed that they’ve received One UI 6.1 on their Galaxy Tab A9 4G (model number SM-X115). According to the screenshot shared by them, the latest software update for the tablet is 1,503.31 MB in size and changes the tablet’s firmware version to X115XXU2BXE2.
We don’t have a complete changelog for the update yet. However, we are assuming that One UI 6.1 for Galaxy Tab A9 offers all the features that it does on mid-range Galaxy phones, all of which you can check out here, and that it misses out on Galaxy AI. If you don’t know what Galaxy AI is, watch our video below to learn about it.
While the latest update is currently live in Europe, we expect Samsung to expand it to other regions in the next few days. The company should also make One UI 6.1 available to the Wi-Fi-only version of the Galaxy Tab A9 as well as the Galaxy Tab A9+ in the next couple of weeks. To get One UI 6.1 on your Galaxy Tab A9, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
