After Samsung released the Galaxy Tab A9+ in January, the company started preparing new attractive offers for its latest budget tablet.
At first, Samsung launched a promotional offer wherein buyers could get a $50 accessory for free. Next, Samsung mixed things up by attracting Galaxy Tab A9+ buyers through a free memory upgrade.
Samsung's new budget tablet drops below $200 for the first time
Although those previous deals are no longer available, as of this writing, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is getting its first outright price cut without a trade-in.
This first-ever Galaxy Tab A9+ discount shaves $30 off the tablet. And for the first time, the Tab A9+ costs less than $200.
The deal is valid for both the 4GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB variants with Wi-Fi connectivity. You can now buy the 4GB model for $189 instead of $219. Or you can pick the 8GB variant for $239 instead of $269.
Alternatively, you can also take advantage of this deal if you buy the Galaxy Tab A9+ through Samsung Financing on a 24 month payment plan (where available). And if you want to lower the price even further, Samsung offers trade-in discounts of up to $90.
Story continues after the video
The Galaxy Tab A9+ is equipped with an 11-inch TFT LCD featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chip and sports a 7,040mAh battery with 15W charging capabilities. It doesn't have a fingerprint scanner but has four speakers and a 3.5mm headphone port, as well as microSD expandable memory.
If you care about taking photos or making video calls with your tablet, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is serviceable. It features an 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, which can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It's also equipped with a 5MP selfie camera.
One downside is that the tablet ships with a relatively outdated Android 13 and One UI 5.1 software package, but a firmware update to Android 14 and One UI 6 is expected to go live for the Tab A9+ eventually.
