Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the June 2023 security update. The Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 were among the first phones to get the new security update. Now, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has become the first tablet from the company to receive the June 2023 security update.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 June 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes bumps up the tablet's firmware version to T575XXS5EWE3. The update is currently available for the LTE version of the rugged tablet in some Latin American countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Trinidad & Tobago. According to Samsung's documentation, the June 2023 security update fixes 53 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
If you have the LTE version of the Galaxy Tab Active 3 and live in any country listed above, you can download the new security update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab Active 3 in the second half of 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The rugged tablet received the Android 11 update in early 2021 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. It received the Android 13 update, which is its last Android update, in late 2022.
