Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is catching up to the latest security patches

Although Samsung started rolling out the May 2023 security patch to some devices a week ago, other Galaxy phones and tablets are only now catching up to the April update. The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is one such device.

The April 2023 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro in Korea and across Europe and Caucasus Countries. It's identified by firmware version T636BXXS2BWD2, which signals that the package includes just the newer security patch and not much else.

Thankfully, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro already received One UI 5.1 in March, so it is running Samsung's most recent One UI version, complete with multitasking improvements, new widgets, better Modes and Routines, DeX multi-window improvements, and more.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro probably hasn't been purchased by many regular consumers and likely found its way into the hands of business customers more often. Security is essential for enterprises, so the April update should be welcome, even if it's not the most recent release.

In countries where the update is available, Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro users can download it by tapping the notification once it pops up or by opening the Settings app on the tablet, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” SamMobile readers preferring manual updates can also download the official firmware files from our website.
