While everyone's waiting for Samsung to announce the Galaxy S24 in the next two weeks, the company continues its good work with the Android 14 release. The South Korean firm has released the Android 14 update to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022). This is the second big software update the tablet is getting after its launch.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) gets Android 14 update in Europe

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) is now getting (via @SamsungSWUpdate) updated to Android 14 with firmware version P613XXU4CWL1. The update is currently available in France and some other European countries. We expect the update to expand to all European countries and other regions within the next few days. Unfortunately, the new update doesn't include the January 2024 security patch. Instead, it keeps the tablet at the November 2023 security patch.

The 1,798.79MB update can be downloaded by opening the Settings app on your Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and navigating to Software update » Download and install. You can also use our firmware database to download the new firmware file and flash it manually using the Odin tool and a computer running the Windows operating system.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) in the first of 2022 with Android 12 onboard. Later that year, the device received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. Now, the tablet has received the Android 14 update, and it could get one last major Android OS update sometime later this year.

It brings a brand-new Quick Panel design, a new font, new emoji designs, two new widgets (Custom Camera and Weather Insights), and a new media player widget design with a waveform-like animation.

Samsung has improved all the stock apps with One UI 6.0. The stock Camera app now has a more simple design, letting you change the camera resolution easily. The built-in photo editor has bigger controls, while the built-in video editor (now named Samsung Studio) now supports drafts. The Weather app has also received a redesign, and it now uses the same look and feel as you scroll down. It also adds more information.
