Earlier today, Samsung released the December 2021 security update to the Galaxy Tab Active 3. Now, the company has released the update to the Galaxy Tab S6. Other high-end tablets from Samsung haven't received the new security patch just yet.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S6 bears firmware version T865XXS5CUL1. The update is currently rolling out in Germany, and it could be released in other countries pretty soon. The new software update includes the December 2021 security patch that fixes many privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S6 user in Germany, you might have already received the new software update. If you haven't received it yet, you can manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab S6 in mid-2019 with Android 9-based One UI 1.5. The tablet received the Android 10-based One UI 2.1 update in April 2020 and the Android 11-based One UI 3 update earlier this year.
