Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Tab S6. It brings the latest security patch to the two-year-old tablet. Right now, the update is currently limited to Germany, but we expect it to roll out in other European countries within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T865) has firmware version T865XXU5CVB1. It includes the February 2022 security patch that promises to fix over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. The update also could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S6 user in Germany, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The South Korean firm had launched the Galaxy Tab S6 in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 Pie on board. The tablet received the Android 10 update in 2020 and the Android 11 update in 2021.
