Two weeks ago, Samsung released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020). The company has now released the same security update to the 2022 version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. This is surprising to see, as even other higher-end tablets still haven't received the new security update from Samsung.
Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) gets February 2024 security update in India
The new security update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) is now available (via @Ranjeetch08), and it comes with firmware version P613XXS5CXB1. This new update has a download size of around 247MB and is available in India and some other countries. Since this is just a security update, don't expect it to bring any new features or performance improvements to your tablet. The February 2024 security update included in this update brings fixes for 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
If you have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) and live in India, you can now check for the new software update on your tablet. You can do that by opening the Settings app on your tablet, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually if you are well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process. You also need to back up all your important data at a secure location.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) two years ago with Android 12 onboard. The tablet received the Android 13 update later that year, and the Android 14 update arrived last month. The tablet may get one more Android OS update later this year, but it isn't guaranteed yet.
