The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is Samsung's latest tablet to get the Android 12 goodness. The new software update is rolling out in the UK, and we expect it to expand its reach to more markets worldwide within the next few weeks. The latest software also includes a new security patch.
The new software update for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with firmware version T736BXXU1BVC2. It includes the February 2022 security patch and improves device security and stability. According to Samsung's documentation, the new security patch fixes more than 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S7 FE user in the UK, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. Alternatively, you can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Galaxy Tab S7 FE Android 12 (One UI 4) features
The Android 12-based One UI 4 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE brings a revamped UI design, featuring the Color Palette feature, bigger sliders, and improved Dark Mode. AoD and widgets have been improved as well. Samsung has also added newer widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. The South Korean firm has also updated most of its stock apps, including Bixby, Bixby Routines, My Files, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard.
The new update also includes improved privacy and security through features like privacy indicators for active camera and mic use and quick setting toggles to cut off system-wide access to the camera and microphone. There's a Privacy Dashboard where you can check which apps accessed your information. The Device Care section has been improved as well.
