Android 14 update for Galaxy Tab S8 expands to more countries

Samsung released the Android 14 update to the Galaxy Tab S8 series two weeks ago. Back then, the update was available in only some European countries. Now, the company has expanded the availability of the update to more countries and regions, including India, South Korea, and the US.

The Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for the Galaxy Tab S8 comes with firmware version X700XXU5CWK7 in Europe, South Korea, and the USA. This firmware version is for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the tablet. The cellular version of the tablet is getting the update with firmware version X706BXXU5CWK7 in Europe and India and X706NKOU5FWK7 in South Korea.

The Galaxy Tab S8+ Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update comes with firmware version X800XXU5CWK7 in South Korea for the Wi-Fi-only model. The Wi-Fi + 5G version of the tablet is getting the new update with firmware version X806BXXU5CWK7 in Europe and India and X806NKOU5FWK7 in South Korea.

The biggest tablet in the lineup, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, is also getting the stable Android 14 update in more countries. The Wi-Fi-only version of the device has received the update with firmware version X900XXU5CWK7 in South Korea. The Wi-Fi + Cellular version is getting the update with firmware version X906BXXU5CWK7 in Europe and India and X906NKOU5FWK7 in South Korea.

If you have any Galaxy Tab S8 series tablet in the countries or regions mentioned above, you can now check for the Android 14 update by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update » Download and install. You can also find the new firmware files in our firmware database and download them to use the manual firmware flashing process.

One UI 6.0 features

One UI 6.0 is based on Android 14, and it brings several new features. It introduces a brand-new Quick Panel layout, a new default font, new emoji designs, new widgets, and more placement options and font styles for the lock screen clock widget. Samsung has also added a new media player widget design with a waveform animation. It has also improved all the stock apps.

The built-in image and video editors have received more editing features, unlimited undo and redo, and bigger controls for the edit screen. The separate battery section has been to the Settings app. Earlier, battery information and statistics used to be in the Device Care menu.
