The Galaxy Tab S8 series is the first set of tablets from Samsung to get the February 2023 security update. The new update is rolling out in European countries, and it could reach other countries worldwide within the next few weeks. Samsung is also expected to bring the One UI 5.1 update some time next month.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S8 comes with firmware version X70xBXXU3BWB4, while the updates for the Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra have firmware versions X80xBXXU3BWB4 and X90xBXXU3BWB4, respectively. The new update brings the February 2023 security patch that fixes around four dozen security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S8 series owner in Europe, you can download and install the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launches a new Galaxy Tab lineup every year. The Galaxy Tab S8 series was launched in February 2022, but Samsung hasn't come up with its successor this year, and it is rumored that the Galaxy Tab S9 series may launch in the second half of this year or in early 2023.
