Well, if there was anything else left to leak about the Galaxy Tab S8 series, that's no longer the case. An official full press release has now crawled its way up to the surface ahead of Galaxy Unpacked 2022, along with dozens of new press renders in high quality. So, let's jump right into it.

According to the leaked press release, the Galaxy Tab S8 series has the following hardware specifications:

The Galaxy Tab S8 is equipped with an 11-inch LPTS TFT display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It conceals 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of expandable storage. It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy Tab S8+ features a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has the same memory configuration as the base model.

Finally, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features a 14.6-inch 2960 x 1848 display with 120Hz capabilities. It's equipped with 8/12/16GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of built-in storage expandable by up to 1TB via microSD.

The Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra variants have an in-display fingerprint sensor, whereas the base model carries this biometric authentication component inside the power button.

All four Galaxy Tab S8 models support 45W super-fast charging

Aside from their size, dimensions, selfie cameras, fingerprint sensor location, and battery capacities, these new Samsung tablets are essentially the same. They all feature a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, S Pen, and the same powerful software suite.

They also support 45W super-fast charging, though their battery capacities differ. The base Galaxy Tab S8 model has an 8,000mAh unit. The Galaxy Tab S8+ features a 10,090mAH battery, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is equipped with an 11,200mAh unit.

New powerful productivity tools are coming to the Galaxy Tab S8 series

Hardware aside, the software suite is what makes or breaks a productivity tablet, and thankfully, Samsung appears to be planning big things for the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

According to the leaked press release, the Galaxy Tab S8 will be the first Samsung tablet to feature the powerful video editing tool called LumaFusion. It's coming to Android, and Samsung's upcoming tablets will seemingly be the first to enjoy it.

In addition, Samsung is making it possible for Clip Studio Paint users to connect their Galaxy smartphones and Tab S8 tablets and turn the smaller-screen device into a toolset for the S Pen. This can be very useful for artists that may want to use the entirety of the Tab S8 screen as a digital canvas without UI elements standing in their way.

Oh, and, did you know? Samsung is working on providing four major Android OS updates for the Galaxy Tab S8 series (and a few other devices) moving forward.

The strongest Galaxy Tab S tablet series yet!

Samsung will present the Galaxy Tab S8 series as the strongest yet. For this new generation of tablets, the company used the same armor aluminum solution as it did for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.

In the leaked press release, the company claims that the new armor aluminum construction makes the Galaxy Tab S8 series 40% less prone to bending than the Galaxy Tab S7. In addition, the aluminum frame is 30% less likely to get scratched than the material used previously.

When will you be able to pre-order and buy the Galaxy Tab S8?

Samsung wants to release the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup in several key markets on February 25, after a pre-order period that's scheduled to commence on February 9.

On the 25th of the month, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will go on sale in the USA, Europe, and South Korea. Tab S8 Ultra pre-order customers get a Book Cover Keyboard for free, while those that pre-order the base or Plus models will receive a Book Cover Keyboard Slim accessory. Here's what the Tab S8 series will cost in Europe. Stay tuned for more Unpacked 2022 news.
