Last week, Samsung started rolling out the Android 14 update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE family of tablets. However, the update was limited to the European region back then. Now, the company has expanded the availability of the update to more regions, including Africa, Asia, Australia, and Latin America.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ are getting the Android 14 update in Afghanistan, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam. The update comes with firmware version X516BXXU1BWK9 for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and firmware version X616BXXU1BWK9 for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+.

In China, the new update comes with firmware version X516CZCU1BWK9 for the Galaxy Tan S9 FE and firmware version X616CZCU1BWK9 for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. The Latin American region is yet to get the new update, but we expect it to arrive sooner than expected. If you have a Galaxy Tab S9 FE series tablet in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the Android 14 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also find those firmware files in our firmware database and use it to flash your tablet with the latest software version manually.

Android 14-based One UI 6.0 brings a new Quick Panel layout to the Galaxy Tab S9. It has a new font, new emoji styling, and a new media player widget in the notifications area. The new media player widget has a pretty good-looking waveform animation when music is played. It also has a dedicated battery section in the Settings app. Other such new features and design improvements can be viewed in our video below.
