Two weeks ago, Samsung started rolling out a new security update to Galaxy phones. That April 2024 security update has reached the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series in European countries.
Galaxy Tab S9 FE gets April 2024 security update in Europe
The new software update for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has been released in all European countries. The update comes with firmware version X516BXXS3BXD6 and has a relatively small download size. It brings the April 2024 security patch that fixes a few dozen security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software versions.
If you have the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and live in Europe, you should open your device to check for the new update. To do that, open the Settings app and navigate to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series in mid-2023 with Android 13 onboard. It received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update late last year. It will get the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update with more features in the next few weeks. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
