Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series in the second half of this year alongside two new foldable phones: Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. The company's upcoming high-end tablets are approaching their official announcement fast, and an iconic accessory bundled with the Galaxy Tab S9 has now received certification.
The S Pen for the Galaxy Tab S9 series has now received FCC certification, as spotted by 91Mobiles. As you can see in the certification document below, the S Pen has model number EJ-PX710, and it features Bluetooth LE. This information aligns with the S Pen's Bluetooth certification, which was revealed a few days ago. The FCC certification was awarded to Samsung on April 4, 2023, after its radiation levels were found satisfactory.
Galaxy Tab S9 has an S Pen with Bluetooth 5.1 LE connectivity
Compared to the earlier S Pen model that came bundled with the Galaxy Tab S8, this stylus version features a newer Bluetooth version (5.1), so wireless connectivity should be even better and more stable. Bluetooth connectivity brings additional features to the S Pen, such as the ability to make gestures for capturing images using the Camera app and browsing through pictures in the Gallery and websites on Samsung Internet.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series will feature three models: Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra. All three tablets have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, 8GB/12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage. All three models will feature OLED screens, unlike the Galaxy Tab S8 series. All three Galaxy Tab S9 tablets will feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
