Samsung has released a new One UI 6 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatches. This is the sixth beta update for the Watch 6 and the fifth one for the Watch 4 and Watch 5.
The build number for the update ends in the characters ZXI8 for all three Galaxy Watch lineups. The full changelog for the update is as follows:
- Improved system stability and optimized system performance
- Improved consumption current issue of battery
- Improved application execution performance
- Improved the issue of network interoperability
- Other improvements
The changelog appears to be a generic one that Samsung has used for previous One UI 6 Watch beta update. But that shouldn't come as a surprise: Samsung has been developing One UI 6 Watch for its Wear OS smartwatches for some time now, and it is likely getting close to the finish line at this point.
Or at least we hope the finish line is in sight. The previous beta updates released for the Galaxy Watch 4, 5, and 6 were rumored to be the final ones before the stable version of One UI 6 Watch (based on Wear OS 5) is rolled out, but clearly that's not the case.
The One UI 6 Watch beta program started back in June this year, a month before Samsung introduced One UI 6.1.1 with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. And while Samsung has already started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update for multiple eligible Galaxy devices, One UI 6 Watch is still in the beta stage. Here's hoping that won't remain the case for long.
