When the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic were released, they had a few bugs, but Samsung fixed most of them with software updates. Last month, Samsung had released a major new update with dozens of new features, but the update also introduced a few bugs. Now, Samsung has released another bug-fixing update to its new watches.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has been released in the US. It comes with firmware versions R870XXU1EVB4 and R880XXU1EVB4, respectively. The official changelog just mentions “improved system stability and reliability,” so it's hard to say which bugs have been fixed.
After the previous update, Galaxy Watch 4 series users had reported that some older watch faces weren't working reliably. Some users also claimed that Google Pay wasn't working after the previous update. Some Galaxy Watch 4 users also complained about worse sleep tracking and shorter battery life. Hopefully, Samsung has fixed at least some of those issues with the new update.
We expect Samsung to release this new update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in more countries across the globe within the next few weeks.
