Samsung quietly announced the Galaxy Watch FE earlier this month. Yesterday, the Fan Edition smartwatch went on sale in the USA, and although it costs $199, you can buy it for as low as $99. In fact, Samsung made it very easy to upgrade from an older smartwatch thanks to really good trade-in values.
So, here's the scoop. No matter which smartwatch you want to trade-in for a newer Galaxy Watch FE, Samsung is willing to drop $100 off the price. That's a 50% discount, down from $199.
It doesn't matter if you exchange a Gear Fit 2, an original Galaxy Watch Active, a Gear S3, or any other Samsung model you might have lying around. The company is willing to drop $100 off the Galaxy Watch FE.
More so, Samsung offers the same $100 trade-in value for any Apple smartwatch you may want to trade.
Even better, if you select to recycle “Any Smartwatch, Any Condition,” you're looking at the same $100 discount on the new FE wearable.

Even though the Galaxy Watch FE is not the best Samsung has to offer and is more or less a rebranded Galaxy Watch 4 with improvements to connectivity and minor build changes, it is bound to be an upgrade over some other older wearables.
Getting the Fan Edition wearable for $99 can be a real a bargain if you want to upgrade from an old smartwatch, especially if it's wasting space in one of your drawers somewhere and you're on a tighter budget.
