Samsung dazed smartwatch fans last year when it released the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It was a brand-new entry in the series and looked nothing like the previous Watch models. It also went on sale for a higher price than its predecessor models, but as of this writing, that's a non-issue. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is 35% off.
Launching a new smartwatch for $649 was something new for Samsung. The company took a risk by creating a more rugged wearable with a higher price tag than usual in a market that declined for the first time in 2024.

More to the point at hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is now considerably cheaper than it was at launch. Not permanently, but for an unknown limited period.
As of this writing, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is 35% off without a trade-in. It's $230 less and costs $419 instead of the usual $649.
It might not get any cheaper
To put things into perspective, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which comes with a 47mm form factor and LTE by default, now costs less than the 47mm Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The latter would set you back $429.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra doesn't have a physical rotating bezel but makes up for it in several ways. It is the most rugged smartwatch in Samsung's lineup, boasting better water resistance. It has excellent battery life, and it rocks an upgraded BioMetric sensor. The latter performs better and consumes less energy.
Samsung hasn't mentioned how much longer the limited-time $230 discount will be available. It's not a new deal per se, as it's been floating around for a couple of weeks now. But if you are interested in the Galaxy Watch Ultra without a trade-in, it probably won't get better than this anytime soon.
