Samsung has already released the Android 11 update to most of its compatible smartphones and tablets. However, there are still a few devices that have not received the update yet. The South Korean firm has now started rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3 update to the Galaxy XCover 4s, which is a rugged smartphone.

The Galaxy XCover 4s has started getting a major new software update in Poland. The latest software, which bears firmware version G398FNXXUCCUF4, brings Android 11 (One UI 3.1) to the smartphone. It also includes the June 2021 security patch. After installing this update, the rugged smartphone should get a refreshed UI design and updated stock apps. One-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, conversations section in the notifications area, a dedicated media playback widget below quick setting toggles, and easier access to smart home device controls should also be a part of the software.

The new update should also bring the ability to remove GPS location data from images while sharing them, more Dynamic Lockscreen options, redesigned Device Care menu, improved Samsung Keyboard and Samsung Internet apps, and improved Digital Wellbeing and parental controls to the device. Thanks to the June 2021 security patch, the phone gets dozens of bug fixes related to privacy and security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy XCover 4s user in Poland, an OTA update could hit your device very soon. If you don't want to wait for the update, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
