One UI 9 on the Galaxy Z Flip 8
Last month, Samsung started rolling out One UI 9.0 (Android 17) to Galaxy XCover series smartphones, with the flagship device in the lineup, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, being the first to get it. Initially, the brand offered the new software to the phone in its home country, South Korea. Now, the company has released it in the US.
The tech giant is offering the update first to the carrier-locked variant of the phone. It carries firmware version G766USQUADZJ7. The factory-unlocked variant of the device should also get it soon. You can check the update's availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
One UI 9.0 brings many changes and upgrades to the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro. It lets you customize the Quick Panel to a greater degree. You get a Warranty and care section in Settings. Plus, Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes now offer more features. You also get a location privacy indicator.
Samsung launched the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro with One UI 7 (Android 15). The brand hasn't specified how many major OS upgrades it will offer to the phone. With One UI 9.0, it has received two major updates. The company has, however, said that it will offer 7 years of security updates to the phone.
