Earlier this week, Samsung started rolling out the July 2023 security update to some of its phones. The update has already reached the Galaxy A53, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23. Now, the South Korean firm has started rolling out its new security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Galaxy Z Flip 3 gets July 2023 security update
The latest software update, bearing firmware version F711BXXS5EWF3, brings the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It is a relatively smaller update and only contains the July 2023 security patch. This patch fixes over 90 security flaws found in the Galaxy smartphone, according to Samsung's security bulletin. Don't expect it to bring any new features or performance improvements, as the company is bringing new features with the One UI 5.1.1 update sometime next month.
The update is currently rolling out in some Latin American countries, including Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. In other countries, the update could be released within the next few days. We also expect Samsung to release the new update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 within the next few days.
If you live in any of the countries mentioned above and have a Galaxy Z Flip 3, you can now download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and then flash it manually. You would need a Windows PC and the Odin tool for that process, though.
