The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to be unveiled in early August 2021, but its design and features were leaked a few days ago. We had exclusively revealed that the upcoming clamshell-style phone from Samsung will be more affordable than its predecessor. Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 3's price has been tipped.
According to tipster @FrontTron, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 price could be $1,249 for the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That's $100 cheaper compared to the original Galaxy Z Flip's pricing ($1,349) and it goes in line with our exclusive report. It is not clear if Samsung would launch a variant of the smartphone with higher RAM or storage capacity. The upcoming smartphone could be launched in four colors: beige/white, black, olive green, and purple.
Despite its lower pricing, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will bring various improvements over its predecessor. The phone will feature a larger, 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display, and its 6.7-inch foldable display is expected to gain a 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will also come equipped with a faster, Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G connectivity. There won't likely be a 4G-only model, at least initially.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to feature a 12MP+12MP dual-camera setup on the outside and a 10MP selfie camera on the inside. It could run Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 out of the box. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, an IP rating for dust and water resistance, and wireless charging. GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and stereo speakers are also expected on the phone.
